Schedule Details

Day 1: Arrival in Colombo and Transfer to Kalutara

- Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo.
- Transfer to Kalutara, a coastal town near the airport about 45 min from airport.
- Check-in at a hotel or resort in Avani.
- Spend the day relaxing on the beach or exploring the local area.

Day 4: Surfing at Welligama Beach

- Welligama is known for its excellent surfing conditions, so take this day to hit the waves.
- Enroll in a surf lesson if you're a beginner or rent a board if you're an experienced surfer.
- Enjoy the beautiful beach and the vibrant surf culture of Welligama.
- Alternatively, you can also explore nearby beaches like Mirissa or Unawatuna.
- Visit the Hikkaduwa Marina Sactuary

Day 6: Visit Udawalawe National Park

- Embark on a game drive through the vast landscapes of Udawalawe National Park, known for its abundant wildlife and, of course, elephants.
- Keep your eyes peeled for elephants roaming freely in their natural habitat, as well as other animals like water buffaloes,
deer, crocodiles, and various bird species.

Day 9: Visit a Tea Plantation in Nuwara Eliya and Adam's Peak Excursion

- After breakfast, take a day trip to Nuwara Eliya, the "Little England" of Sri Lanka (approximately 2-3 hours by road). Visit a scenic tea plantation in Nuwara Eliya and learn about the tea-making
process.
- Enjoy a guided tour of the plantation, including tea plucking and tea tasting.
- Additionally, you could decide to visit Adam's Peak.
- Start the ascent to the summit of Adam's Peak, also known as Sri Pada, in the late evening.
- Reach the summit by early morning to witness the breathtaking sunrise from the
top.
- Return to Kalutara in the evening.

Day 11-12: Climbing Sigiriya Rock Fortress

- Rise early and visit Sigiriya Rock
Fortress to avoid crowds.
- Ascend the ancient rock fortress and
marvel at the breathtaking views from the
top.
- Explore the well-preserved frescoes, the
famous Lion Gate, and the beautiful
gardens surrounding the fortress.
- After descending, you can visit the
nearby Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO
World Heritage site, known for its stunning
cave paintings and intricate statues.
- Return to your hotel in Sigiriya or Kandy.

Day 14: Departure

- Check out from Browns or Tangerine or
Avani hotel
- Depending on your flight time, you can
spend the remaining time exploring Kandy
or shopping for souvenirs.
- Depart from Bandaranaike International
Airport for your onward journey.
